Green Beans

Well, I have a bunch of pic's to share, but I'm too lazy to download them right now, so I just thought that I would write a little. This last week right after YW's I ran down to Logan. Yep I had to leave poor little Ryan all alone, but I had good reason, and a good time! I went down to can bean's at my parents. They had a bunch and were just going to give them away, when I found that we had eaten our last bottle of canned beans, so off I went. I decided to kill a few birds with one stone, so I called a few friends that are still in the Logan area, and we got together for a luncheon! I picked beans and canned them on Wednesday, and it took a while, but we had fun and the girls got to play with Grandma! I think little Autumn drove my dad nuts, 'cause she will call him "GrandMA" and expects him to turn and listen to what she's saying. He worked and worked with her, but she never did say "grandPA". Oh well, we'll try again.

Then Thursday, I had called some of my friends and my SIL and we had a BBQ and sat around and gabbed for a little while. We had 17 kids running around, so defiantly not a dull moment. It was also my G-ma Petersen's and Cousin Karen's birthdays, as well as my Father In Law, Lynn's Birthday, so Happy Birthday to you guys! My g-ma isn't doing so good, but she's made it 90 years so far. Some day's I hope to live a long times, and some day's I'm not so sure. My Cousin Karen wrote down a thing in her "notes" section on Facebook about how every time she leaves from seeing Grandma, she cries, I believe I'm in that same boat. I think getting old is okay, but it's hard watching a loved one suffer.

My little girls are growing and growing...Cambry goes to her first day of school this Wednesday!! Aaahh, Kindergarten here we come! I'm a little scared to send my little girl off. What if she's picked on, made fun of, or is beat up??? What if she's the one doing the picking, making, or beat up of??? Lots to think about, and now I've got to learn how to do homework, all over again! ha ha ha. Any advice from you veterans? Autumn loves Cambry so much, this might be a challenge to send Cambry away everyday. When Cambry went and slept over at her cousins this last week, Autumn was in my room every 20-30 minutes, half the night...what a night.

Bryli is learning to crawl and can get around quite well. She's getting up on her knees and rocking, but she moves better by just rolling back and forth, but she is working one it. My girls all love each other and it's so fun to hear about their days. Ryno is still madly in love with his little girls and just morns them when they are away from him.

I've recently decided that I don't like hobo spiders much. They are just a little too scary. I'm having my foundation sprayed tomorrow, and I'll let every one know how well it works keeping those little bugger's out. Two weeks ago was the breaking point when I killed 10 in one week. Some were in the tub, on in our clothes hamper (I believe he was in some clothes that I picked up.) I've been doing my fall cleaning since I missed the spring, due to a new little baby, and I've been pulling everything out and cleaning behind everything. My MIL told me to get some Ortho Home Defence stuff and I've been spraying all the baseboards and stuff, before I put the furniture and things back. So far it seems to have helped a little. I know living out in the middle of no-where doesn't help, but maybe tomorrow we'll stop having these unpleasant guests. I'm afraid to have them around my kids. Bryli learning to crawl and little Autumn not really knowing to be afraid of them. EEeoo!

Bryli has also been trying a little food. She's pretty funny about it, and wasn't so sure she liked eating at first, but now....well she is my daughter!

I'm thinking about going to my HS Alumni game in September, so that might be quite comical to see/attend. Who knows. My Brother cut his thumb working on some sprinkler pipe, or something and had to go get 10 stitches, plus they had to cauterized his blood vessels, so poor big bro. They did con me into watching there kids, while they went out on a date though. Ha ha ha ha. We just sat and watched Scooby-Doo and then played outside, so it was really hard to babysit!!!

Anywho, we're going to go to Payson for Ryan's HS reunion, and Cambry starts school, and Bryli is learning to crawl, and my house is being invaded by killer spiders, but other then that, we're having a delightfully wonderful summer, and beginning fall. My garden is feeding us some yummy carrots, squash and hopefully soon corn. Hope it's great for everyone else.

Lost

So sad day. I've lost my camera!!! I got to go to Girls Camp for a day while my friend Beth, watched the girls. It was soooo much fun, but it also made me miss Camp that much more, due to only getting to go for one day. But we had a scavenger hunt, and it rained on us, and we got to do a few other things, and then we had testimony night and it was awesome. I had my camera up there and took a bunch of pic's but then I had to leave, and I remember putting my camera in the truck, but I can't remember taking it out....Possibly it's in the pile of rain coats and umbrella, but so far I've not had any luck finding it.

It's rained here for the last 3 weeks straight. We've broken all rain records, and my little garden is starting to grow nicely. Some of it got washed out, and my beans got munched by some bug, but other then that, my stuff is doing good. I have a tomato on one of my plants, so I'm very excited. We'll see how it goes, and hopefully I'll have lots of yummy things up!!!

Bryli can now roll everywhere, and when she's really frustrated, she'll scrunch her legs up under her, and poke her little bum in the air, then push with her legs and slide forward....I'm sure she'll be crawling before we're ready. She's been a little slobber monster lately, so maybe her little teeth are starting to come in!! She's 4 months now, and sweet as ever. She can still kill your ear drums if she's crying at the top of her lungs, or when she's playing she will squeal really loud, but it's fun to watch her grow and learn. She still has all her hair, though it's lightened up, and the stuff coming is is blonde, with a possible red tint....we'll see. She has worn a bit of a bald spot in the back from looking at everything so much, but she has plenty of hair to "cover" it up!!! ha ha ha

Well hope all is good for everyone else, please pray for me that I might find my camera!!! Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to get a new one....(oh darn).

Blessings And Birthdays

Bryli's blessing day was a delight and joy. Aunts and Uncles from Pocatello came. G-ma's and g-pa's from Payson and Logan came. And Auntie's and Uncles also from Payson and Logan came. We had several other friends from here come and join us, and all in all it was a delightfully beautiful blessing day. Here is a full picture of Bryli in her blessing dress.
Yep I stuck one of those huge flowers on her head.....I'm trying....

Cambry with all her loot!!!

All in all we've been having a lot of fun the last few months. Bryli will laugh now and is very ticklish. She smiles and coo's and the girls love to sit around her as she "talks" to them. She has learned to roll over all the way, so she isn't safe anywhere, but on the floor, and even then you have to watch out with the rocking chair. She still has her killer cry, and does still hurt the ears if she is held up by them when she is going off full throttle. She is very sweet, and sleeps through the night, and is a delightful addition to the family. Ryno has been working on a remodle job for MBA Contactors, and seems happy with things, though yesterday was an acception to the rules. Right as they were getting ready to leave, one of the guys was driving back the big equipment and hit the water main......Ryno said it was a 50 foot gyser. He had to stay an extra 3 hours trying to clean up, and help fix the problem....he came home soaked and very, very upset.

I've started a garden, and despite a slow start, somethings are starting to come up. The corn is making a showing, my beans got eaten by bugs, my spinach is up nicely, along with beets, carrots, squash, though my pumpkins I've already had to thin... My cucumbers haven't come up yet, and my peas are just starting. All in all my first garden is growing, though I fear for my tomatoes. I love home grown ones, but mine are still looking a little droopy...

We've had some killer weather lately, and we swear that we've never seen this much rain. It will just pour and pour all day long, but somedays there's a bit of hail added in, which doesn't make me and my garden too happy. But all in all we're having fun and enjoying ourselves. We hope everyone else is having a delightful start to their summer!!!

Blessing Baby Bryli

Hello Family and Friends...We're going to try blessing Bryli again! We will be having the blessing this Sunday, April 26, 2009, and will have the lunch/brunch (whatever) BEFORE the blessing. So if you would like to join us, we will be eating between 1-2:00 and then Sacrament starts at 3:30-3:45, and goes until 5:00. We are having the lunch before so that some of our families can come and not be driving home at midnight....We appreciate the love and support that we've received from everyone, and hope to see everyone this Saturday, or Sunday!!!

My Sweet Little Girls

So we were putting away some of our winter stuff (please note I said SOME) and Autumn ran in the kitchen wearing her little hat. This is the hat that Auntie Shay gave to Cambry when she was little and has been a favorite of all my kids. I think little Autumn looks like she's just come inside from playing, with her little rosy cheeks.

What's that??? What is that??? Is that a SMILE???? I believe it is. Bryli at 6 weeks. The same age Cambry was when she first smiled for me!!!

AAhhh sleeping on the floor with her little bum in the air. I believe this is how ALL my kids sleep. That or they put their hands behind their heads like their daddy!!!

Ah my little Salt and Pepper babies. Autumn just loves Bryli to death and wants to hold her all the time. They are all very sweet to each other, and I'm hoping that this will continue throughout their lives.....well one can HOPE.

Cambry getting some holding time in as well.

So fun story. Once upon a time it was warm here (for a day). NO wind, No snow, just a nice warm sunny day. We got home from shopping (for foooooooddd) and the two little ones had fallen asleep. Cambry was so excited for a warm day, that she didn't really even have to ask if she could go out and play. Well I let her go out, and sat down to look at emails, and stuff, when suddenly this weird swamp thing was banging on the window. I hopped up and ran over to the back door, to see what had just banged on, and streaked past my window, when I discover a pair of red sweatpants, sitting on the sidewalk....Quite frankly, I believed that something had gobbled down my daughter and had spit her pants out onto the sidewalk. Glancing over by the water tap, I see the demon, filling back up a water jug to wash the rest of my daughter down with, and then......I roar with laughter. Cambry had taken off her pants, and had smeared mud all over her legs, arms and face. I'd show you a full body pic, but my little one was in a t-shirt and her panties, so I don't think that would be good to post her in. But she told me that she had gotten HOT so she had taken off her pants, and the mud was nice and cool, so she smeared it everywhere she was hot. I thought that it was a pretty good reason. She had to shower off before I would let her take a bath. But she said she had fun....so that's all that should count.

G-ma playing the piano with Cambry!

Carson holding Bryli!

Lainey holding Bryli.

Bubba holding Bryli.

Great-G-ma holding Bryli.

Mommy's turn to hold her!!

Bead time for Cambry. This is one of the favorite crafts that my kids do at G-ma's and G-pa's. I have a bunch of fish, cats, dogs, and other various items that the kids have made and melted at g-ma's house. They love it and it seems to help with their creativitiy!!! Who needs a picture example, these kids will amaze you with their own ideas!?!?

G-pa getting in some fun times too. Cambry and Autumn love books, and who better to read you a story than your grandpa!

Just Chillin'.
Hanging out with Papa.

So a strange question. What does everyone else do with their gingerbread houses at the end of the holiday's??? I let my girls take their's outside, and eat what they wanted, then they got to break them all up and throw them into the bottom of the big garbage can. They seemed to enjoy it, and the mess was outside!!!

Sweet little Autumn.

Bryli's little shirt say's, "Mommy's Lucky Charm." I thought it was cute, but wasn't able to get a pic of all my girls in their green shirts...maybe later....maybe next year!!!

My Mom

So sometimes we don't realize we've done anything to hurt someone else, until it is mentioned, or until we are able to take a step back and look at things from a different perspective. My mom mentioned that she hadn't seen any pic's of HER on my blog lately and asked me why. My response was...."aaahhh, duuhhh, I don't know mom." So I thought that I would do a post about my mom.

Growing up my mom had several back surgeries, and she has often said that she thinks she wasn't a very good mom, 'cause she couldn't sit and play with us on the floor, or chase us around outside. But I think my mom was a wonderful mom. I can remember her teaching me how to sew. We would sit up in her sewing room when I was 7-8 and we would work on silly little things, like pillowcases, or little doll dresses or accessories. My dolls always had the latest fashions!!! And I believe I had more pillowcases than any kid in the world!!! We would make stuffed animals and several other items, and all the while I was learning to love to sew.

She would also take us to the library! This is something that I love to do with my kids now!! When I was young we would either go to the Logan Library (if we had a LOT of time) or to the Hyrum, for a quick trip. I always got to pick out whatever books I wanted and my parents would read them to us. My parents would read to us on long trips and this is one of my fondest memories. The Lord of the Rings was one that I can always remember them reading to us, and oddly I can't really remember being read any other books on trips, besides these!!! On the educational side, my mom would always have my brother and I watch "Reading Rainbow." Oddly enough, this show is still on, and Cambry enjoys watching it.

My mom allowed us to have cats, (we tried a dog once, but it chewed up the drip-system around the house, so it had to go). Having the cat taught me about responsibility, and even a little about the heartache of death. I remember laying outside with the cats and just enjoying the afternoon, until mom needed me to help set the table, or cook or CLEAN MY ROOM.

My mom also tried to distill into me a passion for keeping things clean...don't worry mom, it wasn't for a lack of trying that THIS one didn't stick!! I'm just a very messy person. I try, to keep things in a nice order, but mostly I'd rather play with the kids, and have a fun time with them, but my mom tried very hard to get me to clean up my room and keep things nice and neat!!!

As I got into sports, my mom and dad came to just about every event. I believe that they only missed probably one game each in my entire playing career! They would take me to and from some of my practices, and help me anyway they could. Despite never playing volleyball, my mom would go outside, or to the gym and toss me balls so I could get better. She was always there to cheer me on, or lend me a shoulder to cry on.

As I've gotten older, I find my mom a bigger and bigger source of knowledge. She often will get a call from me to ask her what would be good for me to cook for dinner, or a question about HOW to cook something for dinner, and she always has the best ideas. She is a well of recipes and knows how to cook anything from fish to pork and everything in between. And sometimes she tells me to just go get a pizza!!! Also, for any that know my mom, and dad, they read A LOT, so if you ever have a question about a WORD and can't think of it's meaning, all you have to do is dial up my mom or dad, and ask them what the word means. One of the funniest trips I remember, was in a motor home, that we took up the coast of California, and Oregon, and then down through Idaho. During that trip a word was brought up, and mom and dad began to "discuss" what this word meant. It went back and forth until we soon had a full-blown "discussion"!!!! Soon we were pulling over to a bookstore, so that they could find out who was right. My dad had been right this time, and mom didn't talk to him for several "hours" (probably minutes) but it was a very funny memory of my parents fighting for the right meaning!!!

My mom always seemed to have something to do with us, whether it was sewing, or a little craft or an activity outside, and this has continued onto her grandchildren. She will have some little craft for them to do, or a birdhouse to paint, or something that they really enjoy, like the little beads you iron into shapes! My girls love this, and despite the occasional mess these make, my mom is always willing to allow the grand kids to play with these.

My mom has come to help me, or be with me, or support me with every little girl we've had. She's come to Cali and helped us survive for the first week of Cambry. She came and helped us by taking care of Cambry when we had Autumn, and this last time she took Autumn and Cambry back to Logan so we wouldn't have to worry about them!!!

All in all I'm very spoiled to have the mom I have, and I'm grateful that she "picked" me out of all the girls she could have gotten!! Thanks Mom!

Blessing Baby

I thought I would add a quick note for those that I forget to call or haven't gotten ahold of yet. We will be blessing Bryli on the 29th of March, which is next Sunday. We would be delighted to have any and all our friends and family come join us. Our church is late, so we will have a lunch/brunch thing around 1:00-2:00 and then just go over to Sacrament at 3:30-3:45. Yep a late Sunday for us. Give me a call on my cell if you have any questions!!! Love to all. And I'll post some pic's and things tomorrow!!!
